Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FuturesLog, a trading journal application available at futureslog.com (the "Service"), operated by an individual sole trader based in the Netherlands ("FuturesLog," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use FuturesLog.

1. Not financial advice

FuturesLog is a journaling and analytics tool. It is not a broker, financial advisor, or investment platform, and nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance shown in your journal or dashboard is not indicative of future results. Any trading decisions you make are your own responsibility, and you should consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use FuturesLog. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3. Subscription, pricing & free trial

• FuturesLog costs $3.99 per month, billed on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe.
• New accounts get a 14-day free trial. No payment is taken until the trial ends, unless stated otherwise at signup.
• If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your card will be charged.
• We may change pricing in the future. If we do, we'll give existing subscribers advance notice before the new price applies to them.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current billing period — you'll retain access to the Service until the end of the period you've already paid for.

5. Refund policy

Because we offer a full 14-day free trial to evaluate the Service before you're charged anything, we do not offer refunds for subscription payments once the trial period has ended. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@futureslog.com and we'll look into it in good faith. Email us at support@futureslog.com.

6. Your content and data

You retain full ownership of the trading data, journal entries, and screenshots you upload to FuturesLog ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you solely to operate the Service (e.g. storing screenshots via Supabase Storage, calculating your P&L and analytics).

You're responsible for the accuracy of the trading data you enter or import, and for having the right to upload any screenshots or files you attach. We do not review, endorse, or verify Your Content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our permission.
• Upload malicious files or content that infringes someone else's rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Third-party services

FuturesLog relies on Supabase (authentication, database, and storage), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting) to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to the availability and terms of these providers. We are not liable for outages or issues caused by these third-party services, though we'll do our best to keep things running smoothly.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any trading calculations, analytics, or imports will be perfectly accurate. Always cross-check important figures against your broker's official statements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FuturesLog and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or via an in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
